If you follow me on any of my Social Media pages Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc you will probably know that I recently visited London for a few days.
I bought it as a 21st Birthday present for my sister as she always wanted to go to London. I have been once before and couldn’t wait to go back. As we live in Cork now it was so handy flying from Cork Airport I would recommend anyone who lives this end of the country to use it as there is no queues and so easy to get around I will definitely be flying from here in in the future when ever I can.
Our cousin had organised for us to visit the Private Members Bar at the top of the Gherkin Building the first night we were in London. Our flight was a bit delayed so once we got to London it was a bit of a rush to get ready and try to make it to the Gherkin in time. This place was amazing we had to go through security to be allowed past reception and pass another reception to get to the top. Once we got to the top it was just fab everything about it the bar, the decor and especially the view we were so excited to be there. As it was night time some of my pictures of the view are a bit hard to see but there is one of the Shard and all the lights looks fab.
On Saturday, we went into Oxford Circus to do some shopping. We hit Topshop first and of course because this Topshop is so big we spent a few hours in here. Our cousins had organised a surprise for us all Saturday afternoon so we had to leave after spending hours in Topshop hehe.
Our surprise was an Afternoon Tea Bus Tour of London.
We were so excited the bus looked amazing and the minute we walked onto it the smell of buns and cakes was to die for. I finally got to taste a macaroon while on the bus and I loved it! This tour lasted 1 hour and 30 minutes and we couldn’t stop eating all the delicious buns, cakes and sandwiches and drinking lots of tea and coffee. For anyone visiting London you should definitely go on one of these they are so worth it and really enjoyable. The bus we went on was the BB Bakery Afternoon Tea Bus Tour you can check it out here.
On Sunday we were suppose to go out to one of the shopping centres but the trains were not running so instead we just got some sweets and chilled in my cousins house. This is when I found this Maltesers Teasers spread so yummy 🙂
On Monday Aoife and I managed to go on trains and tubes ourselves back into Oxford Circus and shop for a few hours before getting the train back to the Airport. Our few days in London were just amazing we loved every minute of it. We are already planning our next trip 🙂
