Birr Castle Gardens, Co. Offaly

Hello,

Its been so long since I sat down and wrote a blog post.

Over the weekend we were blessed with amazing weather and I really wanted to go somewhere for the one of the days. I was back home in Tipperary and its only when your back from Cork that you realise how close we are to lots of different counties and don’t have to drive hours.

We decided to head to Birr Castle Gardens on Sunday this is only 10/15 minute drive from my hometown and surprisingly I had never been here before. When we arrived it was so busy lots of families were making the most of the sunny Sunday

Tickets to get into the gardens were €9.00 each there are student, child and family tickets also available. We were given a map of the grounds which was so helpful as I hadn’t realised it was so big before.

The castle itself is actually lived in so you cant go inside but you don’t even think about the castle much as the grounds are just so stunning. It was beautiful to walk around in the sunny weather. You can order a picnic from the Courtyard Cafe which is just inside the main entrance. I would definitely go back for a picnic during the summer it would be a a great day out.

I posted some photos of the day to my Social Media and lots of people were asking about my dress you can find the details below:

Sunglasses – Quay Australia | Dress – Penneys | Runners – Penneys

I took lots of photos of the grounds so keep scrolling down for a look ?
